Food is central to Paper Mill Sessions and we are thanking our lucky stars to have two incredible contributors to the event, working together in blissful and delicious harmony. Anna Jones and The Hill Food Company are collaborating to curate the perfect offerings throughout the whole weekend.

They have created a cafe menu in the loft kitchen serving winter warmers, such as smoky beetroot fritters, spelt muffins with jammie eggs, tartines topped with pears and ricotta and also with afternoon treats, such as chocolate, almond and smoked salt blondies and spiced pecan cake. And for the Sunday feasting table, imagine bejewelled salads and deeply spiced dahls with home baked breads and homemade cordials laced with bubbles and fizz.

They really are making magic.

Please note: All allergens are used in the kitchen and unfortunately we can't guarantee traces won't be present.

As well as homemade cordials available from The Hill Food Company, The Girl in The Cafe will be taking care of everyone’s hot drink needs from her stall in the ground floor kitchen studio. There are few people that put as much love into a cup as Celeste. She is a treat to behold.

Anna Jones

Anna Jones is a cook, writer and stylist, the voice of modern vegetarian cooking and the author of the bestselling A Modern Way to Eat, A Modern Way to Cook and The Modern Cook’s Year. Anna believes that vegetables should be put at the centre of every table, and is led by the joy of food – the spritz of freshness when you peel an orange or the crackle and waft of deep savoury spice when you add curry leaves to a pan of hot oil. She also writes a weekly, well-loved column for The Guardian. We are beyond delighted that Anna is playing such a central role in the food at Festive Sessions.
